Nightingales!
Tuesday 22nd May 2012
I was thrilled to hear two Nightingales singing along the canal South of The Pilot at dusk on a beautiful warm evening. This is the first record since 2010 when a single bird was present for just two days in April, and I had all but given up on them this year. Earlier at Hockley Hill a pair of Cuckoos were chasing around, and a Garden Warbler was singing in Ash Pen.
